Classic townhouse with
a modern ambition

This historic townhouse in the heart of Antwerp was transformed into a contemporary home. To ensure the house met all the new standards, a lavish renovation was necessary. While preserving the authentic structure and characteristic elements such as the ornate fireplace, this residence was modernized with great care and precision. The result? A characterful execution without monotony.

  • Open connections, multiple seating areas, and custom-made coffee table

    The tall window sections with double glazing, together with the open connection between different floors in the rear part of this townhouse, provide more light and air. For this special structure, we chose a fitting interior architecture.

    The wood structures of the floor and staircase are repeated in other parts of the house, to which the rest of the interior was adapted. In the living room, we created an L-shaped seating area with a custom-made coffee table in the middle. This, combined with a high-pile wool rug by the Belgian JoV, creates coziness.

  • Custom dining table by the kitchen island

    Adjacent to the kitchen island, we chose a bespoke Contrario dining table in light wood and 6 light gray upholstered Lema Bea chairs. Once again, the colors match each other perfectly for a fresh look.

    In the bedroom, we also provided a bright redesign. The headboard was meticulously upholstered to measure with a nuanced, self-selected fabric. At the bottom lies a large, round, and woolly JoV Chloe rug finished with Lyocell yarns that provide extra sheen. Round Kelly nightstands by the Italian Poliform complete the room. This was put together to create a sparkling atmosphere.
