From open landscape to open view over the city
From an open building in a rural municipality to a spacious, fully restored roof apartment in the Mechelen city center. A well-considered choice without having to sacrifice space. The complex roof structure made the layout not straightforward but resulted in an interior that is completely balanced.
Comfort and functionality
Alongside the living kitchen is the unique, oval custom-made Copenhagen dining table in dark bog oak on a crossed steel structure. Combined with eight timeless, upholstered Poliform Grace chairs with slender dark wooden legs and inviting seating, comfort and functionality come together.
The compact yet functional terrace offers a view of the river flowing through the city. Thanks to the adjacent windows, ample daylight enters, creating an open and bright atmosphere.
Two handwoven Paola Lenti Nido armchairs on a round outdoor carpet from Limited Edition make the space cozy and stylish, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the view.
Soft and rounded lines
For the seating area under the pitched roof, we chose the modern modular Poliform Saint-Germain sofa with soft and rounded lines and a round high-pile JoV carpet that subtly follows the contours of the sofa.
On it are two rust-colored Flexform Feel Good armchairs with crossed wooden legs and characteristic round backrests. The seat cushions offer optimal seating comfort thanks to the goose down filling.
The living room was finished with two custom-made Calvi coffee tables with wooden and marble organic tops.
Cozy atmosphere
In this apartment, an additional modest seating area was provided with built-in cabinetry and television.
A large soft sand-colored JoV carpet and the deep Flexform Soft Dream Large sofa finished with saddle leather, create a comfortable setting. The two Zanat coffee tables with glass tops and walnut legs add more warmth to the whole.
The bedroom was furnished with a fully custom upholstered gray-brown bed frame in a self-chosen texture. The Porada bedside table made of walnut with a top in Sahara noir marble and a high-pile custom JoV carpet create a cozy atmosphere.
