PoliformThe Orbit by Poliform, a design by Jean‑Marie Massaud from 2020, is an elegant sculptural piece of furniture where craftsmanship and modern technology come together. The table reinterprets glass — a material that often seems cool or distant — with rounded, flowing shapes that provide softness and visual lightness.
What is special about the Orbit is the way the tabletop and the base form a single entity thanks to a special UV welding technique. In this technique, the round top is welded to the conical base in blown glass, without visible seams. This gives the table an almost magical impression of transparency and refinement.
Orbit is available in two heights (460 mm and 550 mm) making it versatile in different settings – low as a coffee table, higher as a side table next to an armchair or sofa.
Aesthetically, the Orbit leans towards minimalism, but with a sculptural presence. At the same time, it exudes luxury — it fits both in sleek, modern interiors as well as in softer, more classic environments where elegance and detail are appreciated.
