The 28 pendant lamp by Bocci is a masterful example of how chance and craftsmanship merge into a unique art object. Designer Omer Arbel developed an innovative glassblowing technique for this, in which air pressure is repeatedly added to and extracted from a heated glass matrix. The result is an organic, slightly deformed glass sphere with a fascinating inner landscape of enclosed satellite forms. The central core of opal white milk glass houses the light source and spreads a soft, dreamy glow that instantly transforms any interior.
