Renovated mezzanine with Asian flair
Hidden behind a large front garden in a green avenue on the edge of Brussels, lies a deeply renovated mezzanine house consisting of four floors. The passion for traveling to Southeast Asia is refined throughout this house, with special objects and artworks taking a prominent place in the interior.
Cozy and homely atmosphere
Characteristic of this house is the surprisingly spacious living area that provides an open feeling. The high windows allow for plenty of daylight, bringing warmer, darker colors to their full advantage. Not a gloomy whole but rather a cozy and homely atmosphere.
Two floors higher are the bedrooms and bathrooms, while the ground floor is reserved for professional activities.
Adjacent to the living room, a large terrace stretches across the entire width of the rear facade. A small staircase leads to the green garden full of cool shady spots where you can relax.
Openness and security
The Asian-inspired dining area was furnished with a Poliform Henri table with a top in dark Sahara Noir marble and typical rounded corners. Around it, we chose six minimalist More luz chairs in a self-determined fabric that excellently complement the zigzag patterned carpet.
The sliding door forms a sleek separation between the dining area and living area, ensuring the balance between openness and security.
Spacious seating area
With a large family, sufficient seating space is essential. The choice for an organic Poliform Saint-Germain sofa arrangement in camel color with rounded and soft lines, forms a cozy spot with three different loose elements to chat or watch television. A low, wide custom-made pouf serves as an extra seat but can also be used as a side table for books or throws.
In the middle are two Poliform Koishi coffee tables with a top in the same Sahara Noir marble as the dining table. The large Occhio Mito Largo arc lamp beautifully arches over the living room and illuminates the whole.
