Dreaming of Norway. Nestled between the pristine nature of the Hallingdal region in southern Norway lies Hjemmebu, our Mountain Lodge. Since 2017, we have been welcoming guests in a Scandinavian environment where tranquility and adventure go hand in hand. The name Hjemmebu – Norwegian for ‘feel at home’ – reflects the warm and personal atmosphere we want to convey.
Active or Relaxing Experience
The mountain lodge is located on a plateau in the Hallingdal region in the village of Torpo.
Surrounded by mountains and two lakes, you can enjoy the fresh green nature in the summer and a beautiful snow carpet in the winter. The perfect place for an active or relaxing Norwegian experience.
In winter, it offers endless possibilities for skiing, cross-country skiing, and sledding with huskies, while in summer you can hike, bike, raft, or simply unwind.
Modern Comfort
The Hjemmebu Mountain Lodge is decorated in the feelathome style with warm colors, soft fabrics, and wood from the surrounding forests.
The house accommodates eight people and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and all modern comforts. From a fully equipped kitchen to a sauna, internet, and a Sonos music system.
The heated, covered terrace with an outdoor fireplace and seating area creates a cozy spot to experience the Norwegian nature up close.
