12 designer garden furniture settings in our showroom garden — inspiration for your terrace

Not now, when we invite you to come and have a look. But in the autumn, when we have to order everything for the new season. Cassina, Flexform, Kettal, Manutti, Tribu, Dedon, Paola Lenti, Tuuci, Jardinico. Each brand has its own story, its own character. After almost 25 years you learn to make the tough choices. But you don't have to do that alone.

In our two gardens in Boortmeerbeek there are more than forty arrangements, from outdoor lounge sofas and lounge sets to dining tables and low dinings. But also carpets, outdoor lighting, parasols and pots. Below we show twelve settings that are finished. The designer garden furniture that stood out to us the most this season, and why.

Something different! The Cassina Sail Out sofa has a nice color that combines well with mint green, a different shape than you expect, and yet good seating comfort. Warm terracotta in an outdoor lounge sofa, you don't see that often. And when it's done so well, you remember it.

Next to it, the Utrecht XL side chair. It raises questions: can this really be left outside? Yes. Cassina has redesigned the iconic design by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld from 1935 with recycled PET and a waterproof lining. The zipper makes the cover completely removable.

What makes this setting special are the different textures. The large Atelier Vierkant pot, the glazed Kettal Insula coffee table, a Sunbrella plate. And for the evening, the Cassina Singapore and Ficupala outdoor lamps. The Sail Out was designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2020, inspired by the air mattresses of the 1950s.

A tone-on-tone setting with the detail in the stripes of the cushions. The Flexform Oasis really has the comfort of an indoor sofa, with one of the highest backrests you can find outdoors. Those soft seat cushions together with that high back, that's the difference between "that sits well" and "wow, that's a great sofa".

The Paola Lenti Play poufs with fringes next to it give it a bit of boho. The matching Oasis coffee table with frosted glass top is something some people recognize from many years ago ;) Two Tribu lanterns and two Tribu Suro chairs complete the whole.

Technical: hand-woven polypropylene cord on a powder-coated steel frame, designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. Modular, so it adapts to any size terrace. The cushions, like every outdoor setting with us, keep their color, season after season.

Complete Kettal Tilos setting, from table to chairs. Super beautiful finish of the chairs with color of your choice in cord. And what's nice: you can also match the color of the table legs to the color of the woven cord in the chairs. Everything matches, down to the smallest detail.

The table is wider than some standard sizes and available in very long arrangements. Two armchairs for those who want to stay longer, four stackable chairs for flexibility. There is also a single-seater version of the chairs, really a character piece. And the seating comfort? Customer about the chairs: "Wow, what seating comfort." Nothing more needed.

Designed by Antonio Citterio. Aluminum and hand-woven acrylic rope, inspired by the rattan and bamboo sets of the 1950s and 1960s.

Comfort comfort comfort. That's a recurring theme with us, and rightly so. If you have such beautiful designer garden furniture, you want to sit well in it. The Flexform Camelot is the outdoor lounge sofa that completely removes the line with an indoor sofa. You can choose deep or shallow elements. And then you just can't help but flop into it.

And because we're already in such comfort, we couldn't help but combine this with something similar as a parasol. The choice for a fully automatic Tuuci Ocean Master cantilever parasol with heating and lighting was quickly made. A large lounge sofa also calls for a large coffee table, here that's the Kettal Giro. A custom feelathome pouf and the Royal Botania Club floor lamp complete it.

The Camelot Outdoor is designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. Frame in stainless steel with iroko wood, cushions with waterproof layer.

When the sun is low, oh so beautiful in photos. This setting consists mainly of Cassina Outdoor: the Trampoline sofa and two Dine Out side chairs. It's one of those corners where you discover a new detail every time. The shape of the three-seater, which you can also choose in a full sofa setting. The piping on the seam of the cushion. And next time you notice the cord around the armrests of the side chairs.

The Paola Lenti Lever coffee tables and Float pouf have been staples in our garden for years. Versatile in color, always spot on.

The Trampoline is designed by Patricia Urquiola, the Dine Out side chairs by Rodolfo Dordoni. Teak with hand-woven polypropylene cord. Durable materials, made with recycled fiberglass and PET.

Manutti Ogado table with Manutti Yiko side chairs. Also sit very well, but to really eat at low dining we prefer to provide an extra back cushion. The table with a new top in terra rust. A short steel look or a bronze stone? We don't agree here. But what we can agree on: it's very beautiful. And our feeling was right, because customers love it.

And then there's the Heatsail Disc, but not the standard one. This is the Piet Boon version. Different color palette, infrared heating and LED lighting in marine-grade steel. Beautiful to finish off this set. Small Domani pot with it, nice, also a favorite with our customers.

This lounge set is a staple in the garden, the Tribu Senja sofa. The deep, slanted, round elements make it fun to work with curves. That's not possible with every sofa.

Which brings us to one of our favorites (yes, we say this often, but okay): the Tribu Cesta chairs. A swivel single-seater that offers so many possibilities. Nice as a single seat, super comfortable as a low dining "chair". Or just to turn to wherever the conversation is. Topped off by the Jardinico Caractere parasol above it.

A setting with a dining table where each piece is unique. The Manutti Ogado. That's also something that definitely appeals to our customers about the tables: the natural, organic look of the wood. The leg is made from a piece of solid teak, so you always get it delivered with the option to set it up in low dining or normal height. Because the intermediate piece only fits your leg. Unique wood, unique leg.

Here combined with the Tribù Suro chairs, but also beautiful with the Kettal Tilos set a few corners away. The tabletop is available in teak or in ten ceramic finishes.

Where to start. A setting with versatility. The Manutti Yiko is a sofa whose comfort you can already see in the photo, in the cushions. But also because it looks beautiful in winter without cushions. That sleek teak frame with hand-woven wicker stands strong, literally and figuratively. Design by Stéphane De Winter.

And then you might recognize the single seat from the dining table in a previous corner. This is the lounge version of the Kettal Tilos. There too, the cushion already says a lot about the seating comfort.

The versatile Manutti Nami sofa. The base can be in aluminum or wood, we have both options on display. This is the aluminum version with cushions in a custom feelathome fabric. Yes, we do that often. Many of the detail cushions in our settings are our own designs. It just gives that extra touch.

And next to it is the only rocking chair in our gardens. But what a chair. The Dedon Mbrace is a very well-known chair, and with good reason. It's a theme in this article by now, but what comfort. Sebastian Herkner designed it with hand-woven Dedon Fiber on a teak base. 70 combinations possible in color and material.

The Torsa Organic coffee table and a Torsa travertine coffee table are next to it. Calm next to all that rocking fun.
